Plan the working route across the large grounds
Before arranging one-off or ongoing care, clarify the grave type, exact location, rights of use and design rules. Keep the name, section, row and grave number to hand. Darmstadt Forest Cemetery is about 650 metres long, so choose between the southern main area and West Gate before travelling.
Entrance and water
There is a car park at both the main area and West Gate. West Gate is a pedestrian entrance; bicycles and motor vehicles may not pass through it. The general map shows one drinking-water point by the main entrance. Other taps are not published as permanently usable drinking-water points.
Before commissioning work
- Which work is required and for what period?
- Are there rules for planting, edging or the memorial?
- Who may make decisions for the grave?
- Which entrance shortens the route to the stated section?
- Is the drinking-water point by the main entrance practical for the intended working route?
- How will completion and condition be documented?
The cemetery administration provides binding information on rules, fees and permits.
Grave care through GraveStay
For a clearly identified grave, you can request one-off or recurring care through GraveStay. Provide the section, row, grave number, most suitable entrance, a recent photograph and the required scope of work. The CTA is already assigned to Darmstadt Forest Cemetery.
